Energy and Climate Finance
Counsel across the energy value chain and the financing that powers it.
Philosophy
Uganda's energy story is increasingly defined by solar, hydro, mini-grids and the blended finance structures mobilising capital for the transition — and TASLAF has built a practice around it. We advise clean energy developers, climate finance allocators, development finance institutions, and the government agencies shaping Uganda's power sector, bringing deep knowledge of the ERA and MEMD regulatory environment, power purchase agreement structuring, results-based and concessional finance, and carbon markets and ESG advisory. We pair that technical expertise with the corporate and tax advice that determines whether a project actually reaches financial close. Where our clients' mandates extend to conventional energy, we bring equal depth across upstream licensing, midstream infrastructure, downstream operations, and the sector-specific tax and local content requirements that apply across East Africa.
