Philosophy
Our dispute resolution practice cuts across a wide spectrum of real-life challenges for both our individual clients and the business enterprises that we serve. Our litigation and arbitration professionals act as legal counsel in lawsuits before the courts and in ad hoc arbitration proceedings before the principal domestic and international arbitral institutions — defending clients' interests in conflict situations and, where possible, advising them with a view to avoiding litigation altogether.

Advised and represented Great Lakes Coffee Limited in a banking and finance suit worth USD 900,000 against Eco Bank (U) Ltd that was amicably settled.
Advised and represented Yunus Social Business Foundation Uganda (YSBF) in the recovery of over USD 100,000 against its debtors.
Defended Media Focus on Africa (MFA) in an intellectual property claim on the ownership of the Yat Madit Television series production and directorship rights.
Represented former employees of Golden Marketing Limited, Regime (Uganda) Limited and URSB Uganda in employment disputes arising from unlawful and unfair termination.
Represented Catering International & Services (Uganda) Limited in an application for the stay of voluntary winding-up proceedings against the company.
Represented Media Legal Defense Initiative in an application to intervene as amicus curiae in a human rights violation case against the Attorney General and several telecommunications companies.
Represented the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda in an objection to an assessment by the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
Successfully recovered over UGX 20 billion from the Attorney General's office on behalf of Nabajjuzi Coffee Factory.
Acted for Orion Transformers & Electrics Ltd, War Child Canada and the Uganda National Cultural Centre in disputes with their former employees.
