Policy Advocacy & Public Sector

  • Legal Advisor to a Grant Thornton-led Consortium contracted by the World Bank Group and Uganda's Ministry of Finance to assess the legal and institutional framework for Public-Private Partnerships at Local Government level — drafting Local Government PPP guidelines and facilitating stakeholder workshops.
  • Conducted an in-depth assessment with BDO FMA for the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, evaluating the framework for strengthening fiscal sponsor networks supporting Uganda's civil society.
  • Acted for Mercy Corps International on a legal assessment and regulatory feasibility study for a humanitarian energy-focused financing facility in Uganda — preliminary legal analysis, regulatory review and stakeholder engagement.
  • Legal Advisor to USAID/GAPP on the Northern Uganda Regional Development Forum (NURDEF) — gathering input from over 21 districts, drafting the constitution and developing the NURDEF Development Strategy 2020/21–2034/35.

International NGO Establishment & Restructuring

  • Assisted Every Shelter Inc. (USA) in setting up its operations in Uganda as an International NGO — supporting refugee shelter programmes in Bidi Bidi and Nakivale Refugee Settlements.
  • Supported OneWorld Health (OWH) with the review of its NGO type from foreign to International NGO in Uganda — across 9 medical centres serving over 800,000 patients.
  • Advised the Agency for Cooperation and Research in Development (ACORD) on restructuring its governance framework following its transition from INGO to local entity — drafting a new Board Charter and re-drafting the ACORD Constitution and transition policies.

Social Enterprise & Impact Finance

  • Advised Tulima Solar — supported by REEEP and the Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (EUR 126.3M multi-donor programme) — on data protection policy and PDPO registration. Tulima delivers customised solar irrigation to smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Provided corporate governance support to the Blockchain Association of Uganda (BAU), developing a comprehensive governance and operational manual.
  • Coordinated and acted for six export-oriented companies on Trade and Export Readiness under the AfCFTA, funded by GIZ Uganda.
  • Advised and trained over 31 SMEs supported by Challenges Group on legal and tax compliance — and provided pro-bono trainings to social enterprises in partnership with major Ugandan incubators.
