Biography
Robin Omara is a Senior Tax Associate with strong experience in tax advisory, audit and financial analysis — providing practical, results-driven solutions to corporate clients across diverse sectors. His expertise spans tax compliance, tax dispute resolution, financial reporting and regulatory advisory, and he has supported organisations in navigating Uganda's evolving fiscal and regulatory environment. Robin is a CPA currently pursuing ACCA, CIA and ADIT, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence in accounting, audit and international taxation. He also contributes to project-based financial and economic analysis across Uganda, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

Tax Advisory & Compliance
- Prepares and reviews corporate and monthly tax returns including VAT, PAYE and Withholding Tax.
- Manages tax audits and represents clients before the Uganda Revenue Authority during audits, objections and Alternative Dispute Resolution processes.
- Provides tax health checks, identifies tax risks and advises on tax-saving opportunities.
- Develops tax procedure manuals and delivers training programmes on emerging tax and regulatory developments.
- Supports clients in achieving compliance with Uganda's tax framework while optimising operational efficiency.
Audit & Financial Reporting
- Conducts audits in compliance with IFRS — substantive testing, analytical review and risk assessment.
- Prepares financial statements and ensures accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Performs financial forecasting, risk analysis and internal control reviews.
- Designs Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and conducts AML audits.
Financial & Economic Analysis
- Contributes to financial and economic analysis of development projects across multiple countries.
- Develops financial and economic models to assess project viability and value for money.
- Conducts cost analysis using COSTAB and supports project design, supervision and evaluation.
- Participates in data collection, analysis and reporting for mid-term and completion project reviews.
