Biography
Immaculate Akwar is the Tax Manager at TASLAF Advocates with over ten years' interdisciplinary experience in taxation, legal, finance and accounting services. She has orchestrated comprehensive tax strategies for multinational and local companies, prepared transfer-pricing documentation, managed customs, domestic and international tax disputes, represented clients at the Tax Appeals Tribunal, and led tax planning, training and overall compliance engagements. Immaculate has led teams to one-hundred-percent success rates on tax-audit and dispute-resolution assignments and is highly skilled in resolving complex tax disputes.

- Conducted a tax health check and produced a mitigation and tax-planning report for Uganda Wildlife Authority.

- Provided tax audit management to Bakhresa Grain Milling, Britania Allied Industries, London Distillers, Kalpataru Power Transmission and Africa Polysack Industries.
- Carried out tax audit services on all steel companies in Uganda's steel sector through the office of the Auditor General.
- Provided URA Customs Post-Clearance audit management and tax training to M-Kopa Uganda.
- Provided objection management to Vehicle and Equipment Leasing Uganda Limited.
- Advised the High Court of Uganda on the tax treatment of certain transactions in Zhongs Industries Limited v China State Construction.

- Led the team at Crowe Rwanda preparing transfer-pricing policy documentation for ZTE Rwanda.
- Provided transfer-pricing policy review, documentation and implementation services to Uganda Reinsurance Company.
- Provided transfer-pricing policy documentation to Tropical Bank, Compuscan CRB, Fenix International Uganda, Koppert Biological Systems and P.A.C Spa Limited Uganda Branch.
